🎯 Purpose & Importance
- This Championship is mandatory for all juniors who aspire to represent India at the World Youth Transnational Bridge Championships 2026 (China).
- Performance at this event will form a core part of the selection assessment by the National Junior Selection Committee.
👥 Team Categories
India will field and assess participants in the following age groups:
- Under – 16
- Under – 21
- Under – 26
- Under – 31
- Girls
(Age eligibility as per WBF Youth categories — birth year cut-off to be announced in official circular by WBF)
🧩 Format
- Separate Pairs and Team Championships within each age category.
- Swiss or Round-Robin formats will be used depending on number of entries.
- Scoring: IMPs and Matchpoints as per WBF standards.
- BFI Master Points and National Ranking Points will be awarded.
📋 Coaching & Preparation Programme
- Online play sessions and mentor–junior games are scheduled:
- 2 sessions in November 2025
- 2 sessions in December 2025 (before Junior Nationals)
- Attendance at these sessions is mandatory for juniors seeking India selection.
- National coaching camps will follow in February, June, and July 2026.
